About Olive Branch Insurance
Our Team

I’m Gene Keller, C.E.O. and Manager of Olive Branch Insurance. I’ve been with the company since January of 2010 but have been in the insurance industry for 20 years. I enjoy fishing, hunting, and attending my grandkids sporting events when I have time.

Hi, my name is Marilyn Huttes and I am a secretary for Olive Branch Insurance. I have worked with the company since 1994. I live on a farm outside of Sprague with my husband, Bob. We have 2 grown sons and I just recently became a grandma to our grandson, Rawley. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and spoiling Rawley. I also enjoy reading and going to movies.
Our History
The Olive Branch Insurance company was formed in 1873 by twelve farmers in Kramer, Nebraska. With a handshake, the insurance company began and provided coverage against fire and lightening losses. Later, the company gravitated towards the Sprague-Martell area.
In May 1952 the company adopted the wind and extended coverage endorsements which then became apart of its standard policy. The Articles of Incorporation were filed in 1969 and were signed by company affiliates Henry Sieck, J. Carl Sitler, Harvey Beck, Walter Heusinkvelt, John Kersten, Donald Egger, Kenneth Clough, Andrew Benes, and Phil Buel.
In February 1982 the Board decided to set up an office in the house located at 1600 West 3rd Street in Sprague, NE.
In September 1995 the Board adopted and had approved a new farm and town policy which provided basic and broad coverage with an option of replacement cost and mobile agriculture coverage.
In January 2003 Olive Branch moved into a new office at 18930 Market St in Sprague, NE. The new building was built energy efficient and provides more room to serve our policyholders.
